The cinnamon from the nose returns, and it offers subtle, elegant oxidative notes on the palate. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>With time to oxygenate, the wine gains volume and flavour definition, with baked apple and drops of lemon, toasted notes, and the sweet, rich character of pastry.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As I drink it, I let myself go and at times I feel I am in Burgundy, and at others in Jura. Its slightly bitter finish becomes more pronounced if the temperature is lowered, and this final nuance completes the puzzle of this excellent white wine from Bierzo, with an exciting evocation of Manzanilla from C\u00e1diz. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>P.S.: A wine discovered at the 2nd Stars Salon of the Pe\u00f1\u00edn Guide, held last November, to which I will dedicate a separate post; however, I carried out this tasting independently afterwards.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today, ahead of the printed Verema tasting, the tasting notes for GOTIN del Risc Godello &#8220;San Salvador&#8221; 2008 are being published.
