Our goal is that, in addition to enjoying Bodega del Abad wines, you get to know a little more about everything that surrounds them. But what better way to get to know our winery first-hand than to come and visit us?
Depending on the time you and your group have available or the activities you would like to carry out, at Bodega del Abad we have different wine tourism proposals that can be adapted to your preferences.
Thus, first of all, we suggest a visit to our winery accompanied, of course, by a wine tasting. In this activity, lasting approximately an hour and a half, a team from our winery will accompany you through the different facilities, explaining the production process of our wines. Then, once you know how they are made, it is time to taste them. You will be able to appreciate the characteristics previously discussed in the winery through the tasting of two of our wines.
If you would like to complete your visit to the winery with a cultural activity and a tasting of local gastronomic products, you can choose our second wine tourism proposal. This activity, which lasts approximately two hours, begins with a guided visit to the Monastery of Santa María de Carracedo. This monastery is located just a few meters from the winery and dates back to the year 990. It was restored in the 12th century and features different architectural styles: Romanesque, Gothic, and Renaissance. After visiting it, the tour of the winery will begin, culminating with the tasting of two Bodega del Abad wines, accompanied by gastronomic products from El Bierzo.
Finally, our third option includes the tasting of four wines from our winery, specially chosen for their unique characteristics and production methods. Of course, the tasting will take place after a complete tour of the winery, conducted alongside a team from Bodega del Abad who will show you everything about our facilities and processes and answer any questions or doubts that may arise.
