Carracedo 2010, from Bodega del Abad, has been awarded the BACCHUS SILVER at the 12th International Competition organised by the Spanish Union of Wine Tasters, one of the most important wine competitions nationwide and the only one recognised by the OIV. This DO Bierzo wine was selected from among 1,500 entries by more than a hundred expert tasters who make up the Bacchus Awards jury, including specialist journalists, sommeliers, oenologists, etc.

Carracedo, 100% Mencía, is a wine of great character and structure that reaches an optimal level of maturity thanks to its time in oak barrels, which gives it outstanding organoleptic characteristics. Harmony and elegance are the key qualities that define it as an author’s wine.

Bodega del Abad, inaugurated in 2003, is located in the town of Carracedelo (León), in a region whose climate makes it possible to produce wines of excellent quality. In addition, it has the most modern facilities and technological innovations, enabling thorough control throughout the entire production process.
