The 4th edition of the VinoSub30 Spain 2018 competition concluded on March 2 at the Artiem Fresh People hotel in Madrid. With a total of 52 awarded wines, the 4th edition of the already established young wine competition came to an end.
There were 127 competing wines from 26 wineries belonging to 17 different Spanish Designations of Origin and other foreign producing regions. The jury selected 7 wines that stood out with a Grand Gold Medal, exceeding an average of 95 points. Another 45 wines were awarded Gold Medals with scores ranging from 90 to 97 points, setting a new record for awarded samples.
The objectives of the VinoSub30 competition are to stimulate responsible wine consumption and its culture among new generations, and to understand the preferences of young people regarding wines. The VinoSub30 competition has been held since 2004, with 24 editions taking place in Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, and Spain.
